Treasure Hunt
It has taken a week, but I finally got one of the computers back online. Sorry, still no radio shows. Hopefully they will be back in 2 weeks. In the meantime I have devised a contest for all of my readers.
It will be like an open book test. The only problem you will have… where to find the answers. I will post questions and clues as to where the answers can be found. The fastest person with the closest answers will win. What am I giving away this week? My highly coveted, never opened deck of Farmall playing cards!
Your answers will have to be entered in the comments once I post the questions. All will be able to play including those in my blog roll. If you have never commented on this site, you will get a slight advantage by commenting on a post now. That way you will not have to log in once the questions show up.
The Treasure Hunt will begin Sunday the 7th of Feb. at 6 PM Central time. Make sure to refresh your browser if you don’t see the questions. Have fun,and Good Luck!
Follow Up To The Trivia Show
As some of you may have noticed, technical issues forced us to stop the trivia questions on the radio show last week. So here’s the deal. Tune in here this Sunday, the 24th, at 6:30 PM Central. I will be doing a short radio show and asking the trivia questions we missed last week. The questions will be about the Blind Pig And The Acorn web site. Here is the trick… Pay Attention heh heh!!! I will not be taking phone calls on the radio show. You will have to enter the answers in the comment sections of this post. (see the little number in a box up and to the right?), The first one to get an answer in will win a prize for each question.
Sorry if this causes any confusion. My remote location and limited access to the web caused issues with all the calls coming in last week. Listen to the radio show this Sunday and get some stuff!
Radio Killed The Video Star
Not unlike my vehicles, stuff is really piling up in my sidebar. Why would I keep so many links and what-nots stacked on the right side of my blog? Is it the money? Is it the traffic? Not really. Rest assured more money has been spent maintaining my blog habit than lining my pockets. The main reason, they have stuff I want!
Some of them are obvious. Building a cabin and an addition requires lots of stuff. All the decor and furniture I want just kinda shows up on the right side of my page. You may not need a ‘Fisher Stainless Steel, Dual Oven, Dual Fuel, 6 Burner Commercial Range’, but I want one! Honey Bunches can read volumes in a week, so there are links to great buys on books. Most recently a new and strange thing showed up at the top right corner of my page. A Blog Talk Radio Link.
I have been toying with the blog radio site for a couple months now. Today was the first time I actually allowed others to listen. I did a short show about links I have on my site. (go ahead, click play, you know you wanna hear it) Do I need a radio show on my blog? Definitely not. But I want one! Tune in next Sunday the 17th at 5:30 PM central for the trivia show. Contact me if you have a blog, I have some co-hosting slots open!
