Deers Everywhere!
Ok, everywhere but in my freezer! I have yet to tag a deer so far this season. It’s rainy and the wind is howling this morning, so I didn’t get out there like I should. I know..I know… Won’t get one that way! I just had time to grab my pistol and make it to the stand yesterday evening, but no luck.
They are out there taunting me. Diving in front of my truck as I drive down the gravel roads. Leaving tracks in my yard while I sleep. Posing for my trail cams like they are at glamor shots!

I swear I can here them snickering from behind the bushes when I am in my stand. He who laughs last you sneaky deers, he who laughs last!
Brother-in-law shot a really heavy 8 pointer opening morning. Sister, aka “Lead Slingin Lucy”, shot a nice doe too. My chance will come. I just need to get back out there. I had better quit for now. Time to go sit in a tree and act like a nut!

Well…bro…Lead Slingin’ Lucy only got 1 so far! won’t tell ya how much lead I slung to get her with a gun I’ve NEVER shot before!
Be patient, I know it’s easier said than done. Our gun opener is in 2 days and I went scouting this morning and had a 14 point walk past me at 10 yards. Now that is taunting.
