Seems progress is slow both on the farm and the blog.  Since I started the Salt Creek Life blog, I have been trying to figure out how to “thumbnail” my photos with the software I use.  (thumbnails are the small pictures that can be clicked on to see the full size image)  Well… While it may not be pretty, you will be able to click on future images to see larger ones.  I reckon that’s progress.

We started cutting soybeans this week.  Only have about 15 acres left, but we got rained out again.  I hauled a few loads into the elevator in town.  The rest, I have been augering into a bin here on the farm hoping prices will go up.  The old grain truck and M Farmall were up to the task.  That’s progress.

The corn is dried down enough to start picking.  Its always easier to dry the corn in the field than running fans and dryers on the grain bins.  Since we are still cutting beans, it may be a couple weeks before we get started on the corn.  You can also see from the photo that the leaves have turned on the trees.  Deer season is approaching.  Sounds like progress to me!

With the cooler weather setting in, “Honey Bunches” has been getting cold tootsies from our tile bathroom floor.  Not to worry.  I turned the radiant heat on and now the bathroom floor is the toastiest place in the house.  Scout the Wonder Dog soon discovered the comfy zone.  Now, if I could get him out of the bathroom… that would be progress!
